Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. She was born December 13, 1989 in West Reading, Pennsylvania. Swift has been a singer/songwriter from the pop/country genre for over 20 years. The stories she tells of her romantic love in the midst of heartbreak and young love has earned her the acclaim of many in the 21st Century. Swift's love for music started at an early stage. From musicals for kids to appearing in front of crowds, Swift made rapid progress. Swift in 2011, at the age of 11, performed The Star-Spangled Banner during a Philadelphia 76ers' basketball match. The year after that she started writing songs of her own. Swift was a singer who took influences from the music of Shania Twain and her band the Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks in the world of music from the country genre, created the songs of her own to convey the feeling of being alienated. Swift's parents moved her from Pennsylvania to Tennessee when she was 13 when they decided to sell their Pennsylvania farm. This enabled Swift to spend more time looking for labels to promote country music in Nashville.
